Marquette goes down

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=704099

West Virginia 79, Marquette 64

Simply an inexcusable loss. Miserable defense and rebounding contributed to the devastating loss. Marquette has the makings of a top team in the country that should contend for the national championship, but losses like this only hurt your reputation. Now, a nearly automatic 5 to 7 place drop in the rankings from #10 is certain. Usually losses because of a horrible shooting night, key calls going against you, or another team shooting lights out, are not acceptable, but you can deal with it. However, defense and rebounding, which are essentially hustling, should never be the reason for the loss. I know that some people could write this off as merely a Big East loss on the road that will inevitably happen, but not under the circumstances that it occurred.
